　　该片讲述阿什利(格林尼饰)和她的小女儿萨拉(坎贝尔饰)遭到一个犯罪集团的生命威胁，阿什利去求助了唯一能帮助她的人——与她疏远的父亲马特(凯奇饰)。马特在开曼群岛过着退休后的海滩流浪汉生活。他们的团聚转瞬即逝，因为他们很快就被犯罪头目唐尼(厄尔·哈利饰)和他的副手波波(普尔曼饰)在岛上追踪到了。随着阿什利、萨拉和马特被卷入一个越来越危险的网络中，阿什利很快了解到，她的父亲有着她一无所知的秘密过去。该片将于本周五在开曼群岛拍摄。

The Brandini's have won three consecutive years, so Jake is confident in accepting the challenge, though he personally has no experience manufacturing oil. On the other hand, Nicole has oil in her blood, but she'll have to conquer her own self-doubt if she wants to be victorious. As Jake and Nicole work towards creating their respective olive oil submissions, while enjoying the annual Fall Festival as they do, they discover they may have more in common than they realized - and sparks begin to fly.

　　该片的导演是谢尔登·莱提奇(Sheldon Lettich)，曾经是《血的游戏》编剧。该片使老尚一举成名，后来他还导演过老尚的叠影威龙和铁拳无敌。
　　《硬汉团》是作为导演的谢尔登·莱提奇和尚格云顿的第四次合作。谢尔登·莱提奇在塑造肌肉男方面轻车熟路，他给尚格云顿设计的角色是一个退伍三年的美国大兵，为了生活给一拳击冠军当保镖。他组建了一支叫做硬汉团的保镖团队来保护冠军的安全。这个世界冠军还有个妹妹，和尚格云顿日久生情。
　　
　　拍摄花絮：孤胆英雄重出江湖
　　电影与去年的十一月份开拍，主要场景都在罗马尼亚和加拿大完成。刀锋战士韦斯利·斯奈普斯的"出尔反尔"给电影平添了些许波澜。最早传出的消息是有他扮演拳击冠军，可是在片场却没有见到刀锋的影子，看来身怀绝技的刀锋不屑成为被保护的对象。没有了刀锋，焦点自然集中在了尚格云顿身上，都是老胳膊老腿儿的大叔级人物了，还亲自上阵设计所有的打斗场面。此外该片也是尚格云顿第一次和狗做拍挡。片中的反派肯定要倒霉了，不但要被踢飞，还可能在恶狗嘴下丢掉小命。
