 John is a repressed man who is shocked to find himself in middle age, secretly raging at his life as a stay-at-home dad. When his failure to intervene in a violent confrontation in a playground brings his identity crisis to a head, John ups and moves his family to the rural idyll of Coldwater, as far away from London as possible. 　　Wayo is accepted at the Kantaphat University, in the Faculty of Sciences; in the same institution he studies, Phana, a second-year boy he has always been in love with, though he never managed to talk to him. 　　民国六年，在地处偏远的江南清河镇，号称“佟半朝”的佟家和“暴发户”季家本就势不两立，而季寡母守得了由前朝当红太监单公公假借圣谕颁发的贞节牌坊，风光一时。佟家族长佟善群便要自家女人也守回个贞节牌坊、烈女碑来，以彰显门庭，致使三个无辜女人陷入了爱不能爱、恨不能恨的人间地狱……

　　民初轻松喜剧「花艇小英雄」透过几个青年的经历，揭示出各少年从不踏实到踏实的成长路程，对「花艇」的特色，如夜景、花酒、帝王夜宴、舞狮等亦均有特别的描写。
　　故事发生于民初一个小镇上。话说该镇的败家仔钱日添(刘德华)对花艇上的雏妓楚楚(庄静而)甚为喜爱，时常故意亲近及讨好楚楚，但可惜楚楚却暗地里喜欢花艇上的帮手穷小子汪小宝(董玮)。小宝对楚楚虽然亦甚有意思，但在阴差阳错之下，楚楚嫁了给雷展鹏(刘丹)。
　　雷展鹏为汪洋大盗。一日，他劫得财宝时，被高勇(刘兆铭)发觉，并欲分一杯羹，于是双方展开一场追杀，并追杀到花艇上，闹得花艇天翻地覆。
　　当雷展鹏之身份被揭发之后，楚楚即离他而去，重投小宝怀抱；而日添因遇危难，受人恩惠，继而痛改前非，退出与楚楚及小宝的三角恋爱，重新做人。
